Who are we ?
Opal was created by the passion of coffee & those who surround it. In our opinion coffee is the second most important thing when it comes to the coffee industry, the first is the people who run the cafes, the farmers, the roasters.. without these people within the industry pushing forward & searching for excellence then coffee would be slightly boring .
Having got into coffee around 7 years ago, working as a barista when specialty wasn’t well known in Ireland. A trip to Amsterdam intrigued us when we had been served coffee better than anything else we had tasted.
It wasn’t until years later we made the plunge to open a coffee bar, our coffee isn’t by the name of opal & is separate to our roastery.
So to answer the question of who are we? We’re a small team of people pushing for excellence while learning & growing!
